Catch attention before customers step inside. Here are three ways to use flags and signs to guide visitors, introduce a campaign and create a welcoming entrance.

Three ideas for entrance flags and signs

01
Guide people to your shop
A beachflag helps visitors spot your entrance from the pavement or car park. Use one clear message, strong contrast and artwork that reads well from a distance.

02
Make today’s message clear
An A-sign by the door can introduce a new product, activity or seasonal campaign. A logo mat can carry your visual identity right across the threshold.

03
Welcome visitors to your event
Mark the entrance to an open day, exhibition or temporary event. A flag with the event name or a short welcome can connect the arrival area with the activity inside.
Beachflag, A-sign or logo mat – which suits your entrance?
These products serve different purposes. Start by deciding whether to attract attention from a distance, provide information by the door or carry your shop’s identity inside.
| Product | Use it for | Consider before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Custom printed beachflag | A visible marker at an entrance, arrival area or event. | Shape, reading direction, ground surface and a suitable base. |
| A-sign | A short message customers read as they approach. | Placement, a clear walkway and how the message will change. |
| Logo mat | A welcome that connects the entrance with the shop interior. | Dimensions, placement and the identity visitors should see. |
Start with the customer’s route to the door
Look at the entrance from the directions your customers actually approach. A display seen from the car park has a different job from a sign beside the door. Consider neighbouring signs, windows and products that already compete for attention.
For outdoor use, placement, ground conditions and wind exposure should inform the choice of system and base. Do not choose on flag shape alone. Send Visuel Print a photo of the location so the discussion can start with the actual conditions.
Create artwork people can read as they pass
A beachflag often has only a moment to communicate. Prioritise a logo, a single product name or a short welcome rather than filling the entire surface with information. Keep text and key details away from edges and the narrowest parts of the shape.
Use a consistent colour palette and visual direction across flags, A-signs and other campaign materials. The message need not be identical everywhere: the flag can build recognition while the sign by the door provides more detail about the offer or activity.
Questions and answers
Which beachflag shape should I choose?
Feather, Drop and Square offer different shapes for your artwork. Consider your logo’s proportions and the text you need, rather than choosing on shape alone. Explore the product pages and ask Visuel Print about the right option.
Which base suits my beachflag?
It depends on the surface, location and selected system. Tell us where the flag will stand and whether it will move regularly. Visuel Print can help identify a suitable option; appearance alone is not enough to choose a base.
Can I get a new print for an existing beachflag?
Send the model, dimensions and photos of your current flag and system. Visuel Print can then assess whether a replacement print can be made. Prints for different systems are not necessarily interchangeable.
What should I send for a quote?
Start with the intended use, location, quantity and your artwork or logo. If you have not chosen a model, a photo of the entrance and a short description are a useful starting point for advice on options and pricing.
